Let’s have a little contest and predict the G1 winners. Here’s how it works:

You fill out this dang form, predicting who will win each match. When the G1 is all over, the results will be tallied, and the winner will win… something! DEFINITELY glory and fame! 

There might be other things too: maybe fanfic or manips? Or maybe some merch? Who knows. Feel free to comment on this post if you are either willing to lend something to the cause, or if you have a good idea for a prize!

Responses will be closed just before the opening bell on the first night– 11pm Pacific time on Sunday, July 16th. (That’s 2am Eastern on Monday July 17th.)

Scoring:

Each correct prediction is worth 2 points.
Each correct block winner gets you 5 points.
If you predict the entire tournament winner, you get 10 points.
Tie-breaker will break any ties.

If you want to figure out your bracket, here’s a great spreadsheet made by someone on r/squaredcircle. Will be super helpful! 

Here’s how the G1 works:

This tournament is running from July 17th to August 13th. There are two blocks; Block A and Block B. Each person in a block will face everyone else in their block. Each win gets you two points. A draw is one point, and a loss is zero points. The person with the most points from each Block moves onto the finals, were the two block winners face each other. The winner gets a briefcase to main event Wrestle Kingdom 12 for the IWGP Heavyweight championship.
